MEAT OF HEART
A projection-mapped installation completely made in touchdesinger, in collaboration with students from the Conservatorium, presented as a live audiovisual performance. A week-long project based of LifeLoans’ “Meat of Heart,” the piece was later reworked into a video performance.
For this project, I really enjoyed experimenting with the set design. We were given a lot of freedom to interpret the lyrics of the song and translate them into the installation. I started hanging curtains at different depths to create multiple projection surfaces, and placed the DMX lights so they would visually connect with the projections.
We also experimented with projecting through smoke, playing with the light to create dynamic borders and shapes within the haze.
I also created a 2D animation based of the moodboard devoded to the lyrics of the song.
